Learn About Simsbury's Public Works Department At An Open House
At this weekend's event, attendees can tour the facility and enter for giveaways, and kids can take an up-close look at the town's trucks.

SIMSBURY, CT — The Simsbury Public Works Department is hosting an open house this weekend, and the event promises tours, giveaways and more.
The open house is designed to help the public learn more about the Department of Public Works facility, and it will take place on Saturday from 9 a.m.-12:30 p.m. rain or shine at the facility (66 Town Forest Road, West Simsbury).
Participants are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item to the department's "Fill-a-Truck" donation drive.

Kids can get an up-close look at the town's trucks, and everyone can enjoy guided facility tours, popcorn, games, giveaways and more, the town said.
The open house is co-sponsored by the Simsbury Public Library and Simsbury Public Works Department, town officials said.
