Letter to the Editor: Great Way to Welcome Early Fall in Simsbury
Simsbury Chamber of Commerce Home Improvement Show a success.

To the Editor:
On behalf of the Simsbury Chamber of Commerce and Home Improvement Show Committee, thank you to all those who contributed to the 2nd Annual Septemberfest at the Simsbury Meadows Performing Arts Center and the Simsbury Chamber's 5th annual Home Improvement Show. These community events could not happen without our sponsors, exhibitors, volunteers, attendees and committee members.
Special recognition to Mother Nature, as always the one who is truly in charge. As anyone who presents an outdoor event in New England knows there must always be a contingency plan for the weather. Numerous weather warnings made it difficult to plan on attending on Saturday but all organizers agreed that it was safety first. Thank you to all of the brave souls who came to visit us and vendors who stuck it out until the site was officially closed early Saturday evening.

Special thank you to Tom Vincent, SMPAC manager, and Nick Buccarella, SMPAC site manager, who were there for what seemed like 24/7 to be sure that all the loose ends were taken care of and helped us get settled in for the weekend. To Ferg Jansen, special thank you for all the many, many extras you do for both SMPAC and the chamber. For those Home Improvement Show vendors that came back on Sunday, thank you for your time and commitment to our event.
The Home Improvement Show Committee had a great time as always meeting and greeting the business community, residents and the other vendors at the show. We welcomed our newest staff member, Ann Marie Potter, who is now officially the chamber's Event Coordinator, crutches at all.
