Letter to the Editor: Hampton for State Representative

To the Editor:

I support John Hampton for State Representative.  John has a long track record serving Simsbury. He knows this town and, more importantly, has taken the time to get to know its people. I can still remember about eight years ago, I was a new resident of Simsbury living in an apartment at the time.  One evening there was a knock on my door.  I answered it and met this really sincere, honest guy.  He told me some of the things he stood for, he told me he was going to work hard for Simsbury (starting by knocking on every door in town to win his election) and asked me for my vote. I gave it to him then as I will now.

I am not a Democrat or Republican. I am an Independent voter whose goal is not to support leaders who I agree with on every issue. But to support honest people that will listen and are open-minded, get the serious fiscal challenges we face today at all levels of government, and truly understand what average families are dealing with.  I know John Hampton, and I know he is this person.
