Major Simsbury Holiday Celebration Is This Weekend
The annual 'Simsbury Celebrates' festival will take place along the town's festive Hopmeadow Street downtown area.
SIMSBURY, CT — The town's biggest holiday celebration will take place on Saturday, Nov. 29, in the form of the annual "Simsbury Celebrates" event.
Festivities will take place from 5 to 8:30 p.m. throughout the town's quaint downtown area along Hopmeadow Street.
Major highlights include a 7:25 p.m. firetruck parade and an 8:15 p.m. fireworks show.

In addition, major town locations along Hopmeadow Street will host their own holiday-themed programs during the celebration.
Among the organizations are the Simsbury Historical Society, United Methodist Church, the town's Eno Memorial Hall, the Simsbury Free Library, the Simsbury Public Library, and the First Church of Christ, among other locations.

"Simsbury Celebrates" is organized by the town's recreation department and funded through donations, with UConn Health being this year's chief sponsor.
The event is free to attend.
