Prominent Preschool Opens Simsbury Franchise

SIMSBURY, CT — A well-known early childhood education chain recently opened a new facility in Simsbury, with the school and local dignitaries taking part in a ribbon-cutting on Tuesday, July 15.

The Goddard School of Simsbury, located at 1 Cooper Ave., in Weatogue (Simsbury), celebrated its first location in Simsbury

"The Goddard School of Simsbury serves local families seeking high-quality early childhood education and is enrolling children from 6 weeks to 6 years old," wrote Goddard in a release.

On hand were current and future students, families, school faculty, and members of the Granby-Simsbury Chamber of Commerce.

The franchise is owned by Marissa Pratt.

Goddard schools have been around for 37 years, and they serve about 100,000 pupils nationally.

In addition to Weatogue (Simsbury), Goddard has preschools in Wilton, Fairfield, Farmington, Glastonbury, Monroe, Newington, Orange, Rocky Hill, Shelton, South Windsor, and Stamford.

The Goddard School's corporate headquarters are based in King of Prussia, PA.

As for Simsbury's site, an open house is planned there on Aug. 2 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
