Simsbury Announces July 4 Holiday Impacts
The Fourth of July holiday is on Friday, July 4, this year.
SIMSBURY, CT — With America celebrating another birthday this Friday, July 4, local communities have announced holiday impacts regarding town services.
In Simsbury, Simsbury Town Hall and all town departments will be closed on Friday, July 4, in observance of Independence Day.
The Simsbury Public Library will also be closed on Friday, July 4. It will be open Saturday, July 5.

Of course, the biggest event of the holiday locally is at the Simsbury Meadows Performing Arts Center, which is hosting Friday, July 4, an "evening of music, magic, and memories" courtesy of the Hartford Symphony Orchestra.
Gates open at 6 p.m. at the site, which is at 22 Iron Horse Blvd., Simsbury. The show starts at 7:30 p.m. The event concludes with a memorable Fourth of July fireworks display.
