Simsbury Cooling Centers Opened

Because of extremely high temperatures, the town of Simsbury has opened cooling centers for Monday and Tuesday.

The Simsbury Public Library will be open from 9:30 a.m. until 8:30 p.m. Eno Memorial Hall will be open from 8 a.m. until 7 p.m. on Monday and from 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

The Social Services Department would like to remind residents to stay hydrated, avoid prolonged sun exposure, check on elderly family members and neighbors, and never leave children or pets in an unattended vehicle.
