Simsbury Eatery Makes List Of Top Restaurants For Outdoor Dining

SIMSBURY, CT — A Simsbury restaurant has been included in a Connecticut Magazine list of the state's top restaurants for outdoor dining.

To compile the list, Connecticut Magazine asked its readers to choose up to three restaurants in order of preference in several categories, including best outdoor dining. Then, a "panel of experts" recommended additional places, rounding out the magazine's list.

The surveys were conducted in September and October 2021, according to Connecticut Magazine, and Millwright's in Simsbury made the cut as one of the "Experts' Picks" restaurants.

Google describes Millwright's as "farm-fresh American fine dining," and all of the restaurant's outdoor seating is heated.

"Our bridge has been converted into pods that seat two people, offering you your own cozy space with the best view overlooking our waterfall," restaurant staff wrote on its website. "We again have our Greenhouses, the perfect private dining experience for parties up to 3-12 people. Great for an elegant outdoor dinner to celebrate a special event, or a simply casual night out with the family."

Reservations for outdoor seating are required, restaurant staff said.
