Simsbury Firefighters Huff And Puff Up 21 Flights Of Stairs
They were raising money for the American Lung Association at a special charity event in Hartford.

SIMSBURY, CT — Simsbury volunteer firefighters spent part of their weekend climbing a tall building's stairways for fun ... and to raise money to help people breathe.
The Simsbury Volunteer Fire Co. took part Saturday, April 5, in the American Lung Association's 'Fight For Air Climb' at the Hartford 21 building.
Hartford 21 is 11 stories of upscale apartments in the city, located at 211 Trumbull St.

And, should disaster ever strike, firefighters may have to rush up those stairs and save a life ... doing so in full firefighting gear.
Simsbury was one of several departments making the climb Saturday.

"The SVFC team climbed their way to the top of the Hartford 21 building this morning in full firefighting gear to raise money for the American Lung Association," wrote the SVFC.
