Simsbury History Group's 'Holiday Market' Offers Unique Gifts

The final weekend of the Simsbury Historical Society's annual 'Holiday Market' is Thursday, Dec. 12, through Sunday, Dec. 15.

SIMSBURY, CT — The final weekend of the Simsbury Historical Society's popular 'Holiday Market' is this week starting Thursday, Dec. 12, and continuing through Sunday, Dec. 15.

The market will be open from noon to 4 p.m. all four days in the Ellsworth Visitor Center, 10 Phelps Lane, Simsbury.

There, guests can purchase all sorts of holiday-gift-friendly specialty items like Simsbury and "Simsbeary" gifts and apparel.

In addition, it will feature jewelry, ornaments, goat and cow's milk soaps, candles, artisanal foods, decorative wooden signs, glassware, carved wooden ice cream scoops and wine stoppers from 15 local craftspeople.

Proceeds benefit the Simsbury Historical Society, a non-profit organization that relies on community support to maintain its 2-plus-acre site in the Simsbury Center Historic District.

They will also help the organization preserve and promote "the rich history of Simsbury through programs and educational experiences that enhance historical perspective and build on community pride."
