Simsbury Ranks High On 'Best Places To Live In Connecticut' List

The website AreaVibes.com ranked Connecticut municipalities using its "Livability Score." See how Simsbury Center did.

SIMSBURY, CT — Simsbury Center is among the five best places to live in Connecticut, a ranking has found.

AreaVibes.com recently released its annual "Best Places To Live In Connecticut" list, which assigned cities, towns and neighborhoods a "Livability Score" based on a combination of nearby amenities, cost of living, crime rates, employment, schools, housing and user ratings.

This year, Simsbury Center's Livability Score was 84 out of a possible 100 points — making it the fourth-best place to live in the state, according to AreaVibes.com. Its score was higher than 95 percent of areas, the website said.

Simsbury Center received an A+ for crime, schools and user ratings; a B+ for employment; a B for amenities; and a B- for housing. But it did receive an F for cost of living.

According to AreaVibes.com, the best place to live in Connecticut is Old Greenwich, followed by Cos Cob. Cheshire Village came in third place, and Middletown rounded out the top 5.
