Simsbury Runners Finish Boston Marathon
Eight Simsbury residents were among the nearly 25,000 people who ran the Boston Marathon on Monday.
SIMSBURY, CT — Eight Simsbury runners competed in the 2022 Boston Marathon on Monday.
Nearly 25,000 runners finished the marathon, including more than 350 from Connecticut.
Everett Hackett, 32, of Hartford was the top Connecticut runner at 50th place with an official time of 2:24:56. Laura Pierce, 40, of Woodbridge placed 127th among women and 2,251st overall with a time of 2:55:41.

The top Simsbury runner was 36-year-old Brian Scully, who finished with an official time of 3:05:04. Scully was followed by 36-year-old Justine Medic, who finished with an official time of 3:11:40.
