Some Simsbury Taxpayers Have Some Bills To Pay

The town has reminded residents that supplemental vehicle tax bills and second-installment property taxes are due by Feb. 2.

SIMSBURY, CT — If you owe supplemental taxes on motor vehicles or pay your real estate taxes in installments, consider yourself reminded that these payments are soon due in Simsbury.

According to the Town of Simsbury, motor vehicle supplemental tax bills are mailed on Wednesday, Dec. 31, and become due Jan. 1, 2026.

Despite the due date, taxpayers have more time to pay, as the last day to pay without incurring interest is Feb. 2, 2026.

These bills cover the assessments for a vehicle newly registered during the following timeframe: Oct. 2, 2024, through Sept. 30, 2025.

Also, due Jan. 1, 2026, are tsecond installment of real estate and personal property taxes.

Those bills were mailed out last June and copies are also online. The last day to pay is Feb. 2, 2026.

To get a copy of a bill, go to www.simsbury-ct.gov/tax, and to pay online, remember it’s free with the electronic check payment option. Payments can also be dropped off at the town hall in the secured drop box located outside the town hall entrance at the bottom of the steps to avoid lines.
Town Hall is closed on the following dates: Jan. 1 (New Year's Day) and Jan. 19 (Martin Luther King Day).
