Star-Spangled Celebration Slated In Simsbury Friday
The SimsburyMeadows Performing Arts Center is hosting one of the area's biggest July 4 celebrations on Independence Day.

SIMSBURY, CT — With the holiday weekend weather forecast, so far, looking star-spangled, the area's biggest celebration on the Fourth of July still has tickets available.
The Simsbury Meadows Performing Arts Center is hosting Friday, July 4, an "evening of music, magic, and memories" courtesy of the Hartford Symphony Orchestra.
The renowned orchestra will present its annual “Celebrate America!” concert, conducted by the acclaimed Carolyn Kuan.

This year’s celebration features a special guest performance by legendary American singer-songwriter Livingston Taylor.
The show is then capped off with a "spectacular fireworks display that will light up the Simsbury sky."

Gates open at 6 p.m. at the site, which is at 22 Iron Horse Blvd., Simsbury.
The show starts at 7:30 p.m.
