Storyteller's Cottage Launches Board Game Cafe
Stop by every Friday night between 4:00 and 9:00 pm for just $5!

The Storyteller’s Cottage has launched a weekly Board Game Cafe that takes place in its secret hidden castle room every Friday from 4:00 - 9:00 pm. Admission is just $5.00 to play any of a wide variety of fun new fantasy-themed board games, and snacks and drinks are available for just $1 each.
Board games have enjoyed a resurgence in recent years, and this charming pastime has become a popular activity for young adults, teens and families. It’s cool to be nerdy these days, and the Storyteller’s Cottage embraces that aesthetic with game tables scattered throughout a Harry Potter inspired common room, a secret castle room hidden behind a mysterious bookcase door, and games that focus on creativity, strategy and fantasy. Board game enthusiasts of all ages are invited to come and play games like Settlers of Catan, Ticket to Ride, Runebound, Guildhall, Castle Panic, Scrimish, Saboteur, Coup, Love Letters, One Night Werewolf, Dungeon and more. Bring a group of friends, or come and meet some new ones!
The Storyteller’s Cottage is located in a vintage Victorian house in the center of historic Simsbury, CT, and hosts all manner of immersive literary events throughout the year, including Agatha Christie inspired live murder mystery parties, Great Gatsby themed Jazz Supper Clubs, fascinating close-up illusions at Fine Parlor Magic nights, a Literary Dinner Party series on select evenings at midnight, and more.
