Three Simsbury Schools Celebrate International Walk to School Day

From the Simsbury Bicycle Pedestrian Advisory Committee:

SIMSBURY, CT - Join students in Simsbury and around the world in celebrating the benefits of walking and biking.

Active transportation is fun! It’s good exercise! It’s good for the earth! It helps build a strong community!
Students, staff, and parent chaperones will meet at neighborhood locations, then walk or bike to school. Guests are invited to join a group or greet students at the schools.

Thursday, Sepember 29: Latimer Lane Elementary School

Walk/Bike-to-School-Day events are part of the national Safe Routes to School initiative dedicated to improving conditions around schools so that more children can safely walk and bike to school, promoting healthy lifestyles and a healthy earth.
