The Glastonbury Town Council has passed a resolution that supports Ukraine and urges its town's residents to help humanitarian efforts.

GLASTONBURY, CT — At its meeting on March 8, the Glastonbury Town Council presented a resolution in support of the Ukrainian people as Russia continues to invade their country.

In the resolution, the council calls Russian President Vladimir Putin's attack "an unprovoked, unjustified military assault on the peaceful nation of Ukraine and its people" and urges all Glastonbury residents and organizations to support efforts designed to help the Ukrainian people.

"The Town Council and citizens of Glastonbury strongly support and proudly stand with the Ukrainian people who call Glastonbury their home, and Ukrainian people throughout the world during this unthinkable attack on their country," the resolution reads.
