Well-Known Simsbury Restaurant Impacted By Fire
The prominent eatery will reopen as normal on Wednesday, with firefighters credited for keeping the blaze from spreading.
SIMSBURY, CT — A popular restaurant in Simsbury will open as normal on Wednesday, Jan. 15, after firefighters were called to the eatery due to a fire Sunday.
According to the owners of Millwright's, located at 77 West St., Simsbury, Monday, a fire erupted in a chimney at the restaurant Sunday night.
But the Simsbury Volunteer Fire Co. arrived quickly and took care of the blaze before it was able to spread, according to Millwright's.

According to the restaurant, firefighters "kept a bad situation from getting much worse."
The restaurant is usually open Wednesday to Sunday, so it was closed as normal Monday, Jan. 13, and it will be closed Tuesday.

But, restaurant officials said, it will reopen with no issues for diners on Wednesday.
