Car Stolen After Left Running: Southbury Police

"Last night we had a vehicle stolen from Woodland Hills Road! The person left the vehicle running for a couple minutes while running into a house and when they came out, it was gone.

We know it’s cold out! DO NOT leave your car running. Did you know that many cars do not even need to have the keys inside in order to move once they’re started?

Do not be an easy target. Don’t leave your car running unattended! Lock your doors, take your keys and turn off the ignition. Cars are stolen in a matter of seconds. Do not become a victim!"
