SOUTHBURY, CT— When times are tough, heroes emerge. We all know someone who's making a difference right now as we live through unprecedented times. Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these everyday heroes.

Deli clerk at Shoprite Southbury.

Why do you believe the nominee should be recognized or honored?
Amanda works 3rd shift, is very informed on CV-19 and ensures she personally is practicing the strictest CV19 protocols and food safety standards. She recognizes the community is comprised of mainly the elderly so she is concerned about keeping a vulnerable population safe.

What’s one thing you want everyone to know about your hero?:
Amanda prides herself on maintaining a high standard of food safety in her personal practices and during this pandemic has taken even more steps to ensure her sanitation practices have risen to meet the current needs.
