Man Charged In Southbury Stop & Shop Check Fraud Attempt: Police
The man was arrested following a short foot chase in the supermarket's parking lot, according to police.
SOUTHBURY, CT — A man is accused of attempting to cash a fraudulent check at a local Stop & Shop supermarket.
Police said they were dispatched to the supermarket, at 100 Main St. North, on Tuesday at 3 p.m.
When police arrived, the individual fled on foot, according to police. Officers captured the suspect after a short foot pursuit through the parking lot, police said.

Police charged Mark Sullivan, 38, with third-degree larceny, second-degree identity theft, second-degree forgery, third-degree forgery, interfering/resisting arrest, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Sullivan is due to appear in Superior Court in Waterbury on Feb. 28.
