Man Forced Woman Into Car In Southbury Kidnapping: Police
Brian Lambert was charged with kidnapping and assault after police say he kidnapped a woman in Southbury on Friday.

SOUTHBURY, CT — A man is facing multiple charges after police said he kidnapped a woman by forcing her into his car.
Brian Lambert was charged with kidnapping, assault, reckless endangerment and other counts following the Friday incident, Southbury police said in a news release.
According to authorities, police were called shortly after midnight Friday when a person living in the area of Elaine Drive and Curt Smith Road saw Lambert forcibly push a woman into a vehicle before speeding away.

After pinging Lambert's cell phone, authorities eventually located the car about seven miles away near Route 188 and Punkup Road in Oxford. Police responded to the area and stopped the car just south of Southford Falls State Park.
According to police, authorities located both the victim and Lambert inside the car.

Lambert was taken to New Haven Correctional Facility where he is being held on a $5 million bond.
