Motorcyclist Killed After Being Struck By Jeep On I-84 In Southbury, ID Released: State Police

A 25-year-old was killed early Friday.

SOUTHBURY, CT — A 25-year-old Waterbury resident riding a motorcycle was killed after being struck by a Jeep, state police said Friday.

At 3:19 a.m. Friday, troopers responded to a crash on I-84 East in the area of Exit 16. A motorcycle was traveling in the right lane of two on I-84 East in the area of Exit 16. Ezequier E. Galarza, 25, of Waterbury, lost control of his vehicle for an "unknown reason" and became separated from his motorcycle, state police said.

Galaraza walked toward the left lane and was struck by a 2018 Jeep, and he suffered fatal injuries, state police said.
