New Southbury Restaurant Opens For Business
The new eatery which just opened is already receiving very positive reviews.

SOUTHBURY, CT — Southbury's newest restaurant has just opened for business. Mercato Italian Kitchen and Bar which is located at 690 Main Street South opened last week after construction was completed. The restaurant is open seven days a week from 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. except for Friday and Saturday nights as the restaurant remains open until 11 p.m. for those two days.
The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner and features a wide array of pasta, pizzas, salads, and speciality meals.
According to its website, "In 2012 we opened our first Market Place Kitchen & Bar in Danbury CT. A Modern American Restaurant that celebrates and encourages local, organic and sustainably harvested food and spirits. Since 2012, Market Hospitality Group has opened three additional Market Place locations in Avon, Newtown & Woodbury, CT.

"Mercato Italian Kitchen & Bar is the latest concept and restaurant for Market Hospitality Group (MHG). The interior of the restaurant is comprised of iron and custom glass, reclaimed barn wood and inviting booths to complete the industrial yet rustic feel. Local Handmade Pasta from "Villarina's", Danbury, CT and fresh made individual pizzas cooked in our beautiful twin wood-burning ovens are just a couple of the items you'll enjoy here!"
The restaurant is already receiving strong reviews. "Great good! Beautiful place and friendly atmosphere.""Fantastic food, drinks, and hospitality!"
