Obituary: Theodosia Andrukiewicz, 90, of Southbury

Theodosia Andrukiewicz

(October 13, 1925 - April 5, 2016)

Theodosia “Tess” Andrukiewicz died peacefully on April 5, 2016 in Southbury at the age of 90. Born in Wilkes Barre, Pa., Tessie and her husband Tony moved to South River, New Jersey in 1952 where they established a home often filled with family and friends.

Tess moved to Southbury, Connecticut in 2011 to be closer to her daughter’s family. Tess is survived by her beloved daughter and son in law, Marlene and Jim Reel of Southbury, grandsons Daniel Reel and Andrew Reel and her sister, Sister M. Anastasia of Euclid, Ohio.

She was predeceased by her husband Anthony Andrukiewicz, brothers Louis and John Tenzca, and sisters Sophie Martin and Jean Shimshock.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held Friday, April 8, in Sacred Heart Church, Southbury. Burial followed in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Carverton, PA. Arrangements were completed by Carpino Funeral Home, Southbury.
