Several properties across town, including on Cooper Hill, South Georges Hill, Nod Hill, and Lum Lot roads, sold in December and early January, with prices ranging from $675,000 to $1.05 million.

Town Of Southbury Employment Opportunity: Recreation Supervisor (patch.com) — Southbury is hiring a full-time Recreation Supervisor to run community and aquatics programs, including local youth camps, for the Parks & Recreation Department. The role pays $68,000–$72,000 with full benefits and requires a related bachelor’s degree plus supervisory experience. Applications and resumes are due by January 16 via the town’s HR email.
   

3. South Britain Congregational Church to Host Community Chili Dinner to Benefit Southbury Fuel Bank (primepublishers.com) — A free community chili dinner in Southbury this Saturday, Jan. 10, will raise donations for the Southbury Fuel Bank, which helps residents heat their homes. Hosted by South Britain Congregational Church from 4:30–6:30 p.m., the event offers beef and vegetarian chili, cornbread, salad, dessert, and a welcoming space for neighbors to connect while supporting local emergency energy assistance.
   

4. Southbury Community Spreads Holiday Gift Basket Cheer to Local Seniors (primepublishers.com) — Southbury officials and Senior Services staff recently delivered 100 holiday gift baskets to local seniors identified as isolated or in need of cheer. The Annual Holiday Cheer program depends on donations from Southbury organizations, churches, businesses, and more than 40 individual residents who helped brighten the season for elderly neighbors.
