Police Nab Southbury Man After Failing To Appear In Seven Cases And Fleeing Traffic Stop

A Southbury man was taken into custody on eight warrants, including one related to a 2024 police pursuit.

SOUTHBURY, CT — A 25-year-old Southbury resident was taken into custody on eight outstanding warrants, including one related to a police pursuit that occurred in December 2024, according to the Southbury Police Department.

Police said Adrian Ajdinoski was taken into custody around 6 p.m. on July 30. Seven of the warrants were for failure to appear in court, while the eighth stemmed from an incident on Dec. 23, 2024, when Ajdinoski fled from officers during an attempted traffic stop.

According to police, Ajdinoski accelerated away as officers attempted to stop his vehicle. The pursuit was quickly terminated out of safety concerns, and a warrant was subsequently obtained for engaging police in pursuit.

Ajdinoski was held on bonds totaling $328,000 and was presented in Waterbury Superior Court on July 31.
