SOUTHBURY, CT — Firefighters were dispatched three times within a 30-minute span on Wednesday afternoon to the strip mall at 466 Heritage Village.

The first two calls were an automatic fire alarm set off by dust, and an investigation for a burning odor. The threats were checked with thermal imaging cameras and other equipment, and were deemed not credible, according to fire officials.

But as the second call was wrapping up, an appliance fire was reported with smoke coming from behind a stove. First responders reported smokey conditions, with smoke also coming from the eves of the building. Crews discovered a fire in the walls and extinguished it.
