The Town of Southbury is currently seeking residents, who are registered voters, to work at the polls, for the upcoming Presidential Election on Tuesday, November 5, 2024.

The positions include:

  • Checker - checks voter IDs and verifies that they eligible to vote
  • Ballot Clerk - distributes ballots to voters
  • Tabulator Tender - monitors the vote tabulator
  • Floater - assists as needed during breaks.
  • Other positions are available. The Town needs workers to clean, monitor the line to vote, maintain supplies and assist with set-up. There will be paid training for all workers.

    The pay for poll workers is $16.00/hour, and the hours are 5:15 am to 8:30-9:00 pm on the day of the election. Snacks will be provided during the day and dinner will be provided for all workers.

    Deadline to apply is October 17, 2024.
