Jeffers was positively identified in association with a strong-arm robbery at Southington CVS at 326 Main St. on June 19.
The SPD said Jeffers was working with a female suspect also charged in connection with that crime.
According to the SPD, on Thursday, June 19, at 3:50 p.m., officers responded to that store for a robbery that had just been reported.
Two suspects were involved, police said, an adult male and an adult female, who was eventually identified as Tadae S. Love, 24, of Hartford, who was charged by police in connection with the crime on July 7.
Police said the pair arrived together at CVS in a vehicle and entered the store.
The incident began when the male suspect, identified as Jeffers, made contact with a female employee seeking access to a locked fragrance display case, police said.
Once access was denied by the employee, Love confronted the employee, kicking and shoving her backward, police said in a prior release July 8.
"Love then forcefully removed a set of keys from a lanyard around the employee’s neck,
accessed the fragrance display, and loaded over $2,000 of merchandise into a large beach
bag," wrote the SPD.
