Another Sex Assault Charge Lodged Against Southington Massage Therapist
The suspect surrendered to Southington Police who obtained an arrest warrant.

A massage therapist is facing another sexual assault charge in connection with an alleged assault of a patron of the massage center where he worked, according to Southington Police.
David Kingsbury, 48, of Southington, surrendered at police headquarters at approximately 8 a.m. on Dec. 22 after learning there was an arrest warrant, police said.
The warrant stemmed from a sexual assault incident that occurred on Sept. 16. “Kingsbury was working as a massage therapist at the Healing Hands and Body Works Therapeutic Massage on Queen Street in Southington when he allegedly sexually assaulted the victim. At the time of the assault, the victim was a patron of the business,” police said in a statement.

Kingsbury was charged with fourth-degree sexual assault. Kingsbury was released on a $10,000 bond and was given an appearance date of Jan. 4, at the Bristol Court.
Sgt. Jeffrey Dobratz said that the second victim came to police after reading about his arrest in October.

Kingsbury already was free on $25,000 bond following his arrest Oct. 9 on charges of second-degree sexual assault and second-degree breach of peace in connection with another incident involving the sexual assault female patron of the massage center in August. He is due back in court on those charges on Jan. 15, according to the Connecticut Judicial Branch website.
