Arson Threat Yields Arrest of Southington Man
Police say the suspect accused threatened to burn down the house of his victim.

A Southington man is facing charges that he threatened to burn down the house of a woman in town.
According to a Southington Police report, the man was arrested Monday by police who obtained an arrest warrant charming him with second-degree breach of peace and second-degree threatening.
Martin Brennan, 49, of Southington was arrested Monday at his place of employment, according to police.

Brennan was held on a court set $35,000 bond and was scheduled to appear in Bristol Court on Jan. 12.
According to the warrant, Brennan is accused of making threats of violence towards the victim and her 87-year-old father. The warrant also alleges that Brennan threatened to burn down the house with the victim and her father in it, according to a police report. The report didn’t indicate when the incident occurred.
