Berlin Resident Wins Big With Lottery Game Purchased In Southington

The game, purchased last Friday at a Southington convenience store, earned the Berlin resident the maximum payout.

SOUTHINGTON/BERLIN, CT — Southington has been a good place to purchase lottery game tickets in recent days, with a Berlin resident and a Plantsville resident earning nice wins.

On Friday, Sept. 19, a Berlin resident won $100,000 playing a scratch-off game purchased at the Dairy Farms store at 68 Berlin St., Southington, according to the Connecticut Lottery Corp.

The winning ticket was the "Scorching Hot 7s" game, which cost $10 to play, and the maximum payout is $100,000.

Meanwhile, the lottery corporation also reports another money-winning ticket out of Southington on Monday, Sept. 22.

That's when a Plantsville (Southington) resident won $10,000 playing the "$500,000 CASHWORD 2nd EDITION" scratch-off game.

That ticket was purchased at the Westview Convenience Store, 662 West St., Southington.

That scratch game has a $500,000 maximum payout, with this ticket falling short.

Still, the $10,000 win represents a nice investment for the $30 cost to play the game.
