Bristol Fall Paving Program Will Have 2 Phases

Public works department releases 2021 fall paving program.

The Bristol Public Works Department is releasing its 2021 fall paving program in two phases.

“The initial phase consists of milling off the existing pavement of the road,” said Public Works Director Raymond Rogozinski. “The second phase consists of installing a new roadway surface and will commence shortly after the first phase. Once construction is complete, the City will repair any affected driveway aprons.”

The program begins on Aug. 31 or Sept. 1 and is anticipated to complete by the end of fall. The streets following are anticipated to be milled and paved: Carpenter Ave, Morris Ave., Washington St., Hooker Court, Stewart St., Whippoorwill Lane, Daisy Circle, Muir Ave., Rose St., Hannah St., Winding Brook Road, Swanson Dr., Hartford Ave., Nelson Farm Road, Wilderness Way, Louisiana Ave., West Washington St., Church Ave., Judd St., Eastwood Road, Belgian Circle, Lantern Hill Road, Sherbrooke St., Hidden Book Drive, Braeburn Road, Terrace Lane, Maywood Lane and Woodside Way.

“There may be minor traffic delays during construction, however roads will remain open for mail delivery, emergency vehicles, and local traffic at all times,” said Mayor Ellen Zoppo-Sassu. “Temporary ‘No Parking’ signs will be posted as needed during construction.”
