The hospital late Thursday announced the move, which will see offices at 61 Bradley St. and 102 North St. resume their practices in the 60,000 square-foot building at 15 Riverside Ave. These practices are a part of the Bristol Health Medical Group, and will close this month for the relocation.

“As a community health system, this is what we do, this is what we’re all about – caring for not only our patients but for our community as a whole,” Edward Henry, VP of ambulatory services and executive director of the Bristol Health Medical Group, said in a statement.

“Offering primary care at the Medical Care Center will not only keep the residents of Bristol healthy and allow for easy referrals to one of the many specialties already offered at the location, but we believe will contribute to the continued revitalization of the city’s downtown area as well,” Henry continued.

Doctors moving into the Medical Care Center will include Erika Chico, John Frazier, Marisa Lee Kim and Saima Ali Pasha. Advanced practice nurses who will move will include Alyssa Brown and Mary Ann Koprek.

“We’re excited about the move and to continue to provide patients with exceptional care, now in a facility that matches that level,” Kim said in a statement. “Primary care is often the first point of contact with a health system for many individuals. We want it to be an extremely positive experience and we want to ensure our patients get the right care in the right setting where, together, we can achieve their health goals.”

The $26 million Medical Care Center opened in June 2019. The specialties it offers include cardiology, endocrinology, neurology, orthopedics, plastic surgery, rheumatology, spine health, urology, blood draw services and physical, occupational and speech therapy.

“Primary care can now be added to the list, resulting in more pedestrians willing to shop, eat and explore downtown,” Bristol Health officials said in a statement.
