Car Crashes into Southington Business

A man drove his car into the front of the Leadership Martial Arts studio.

SOUTHINGTON, CT - Rick Griffin, the owner of Leadership Martial Arts, hopes he’ll be able to reopen his studio on the Southington-Cheshire border this week — days after a motorist crashed their car into the storefront.

No one was injured, and the studio was closed when an elderly driver drove into the storefront in the Plaza 66 mall at 1156 Meriden-Waterbury Turnpike about 11 a.m. Monday, according to MyRecordJournal.com.

There wasn’t any serious damage to building, according to the report.

Griffin opened the studio in September.
