The premise of "Touch-A-Truck" is simple and it is actually what the name of the event implies: kids can climb on and into various trucks or large vehicles, including construction, military, emergency and other large modes of transportation.

In addition, there will be face-painting, glitter tattoos and refreshments available.

Plus, the Southington Conservation Commission is handing out free seedlings, so folks can go and have fun and then bring home a chance to replenish a tree.

Those looking to volunteer their large truck for the event can still contact Tracy at tracy.garrigus@comcast.net if interested in participating with their vehicle(s).
