First Candidate Forum Tuesday as Local Hopefuls Clash
The first forum, hosted by the Southington Chamber of Commerce, will include an up close and personal chance for residents to meet the 12 candidates for Southington Town Council.
Elections season is here and the Southington Democratic and Republican candidates for office will square off for the first debate of the season on Tuesday night.
Twelve candidates will take part in this first session, hosted by the Southington Chamber of Commerce, including all six Democrats and Republicans running for seats on the Southington Town Council, said chamber president Art Secondo.
"It's a chance for residents to get a chance to know the candidates and the issues that matter to them," Secondo said.
The forum is open to the public and will be hosted at the Calendar House Senior Center, 388 Pleasant St. in Southington. The event will begin at 7 p.m. and will include an open forum time.
