The raffle fundraiser was American Legion Post 209’s most successful fundraiser. A total of 2,455 tickets were sold at locations throughout Bristol. Winners were able to win gift cards to be used to purchase items from Southside Meat Market for their Fourth of July barbecues. First place received $300 worth of items from Southside Meat Market while second place and third place received $150 and $50 gift cards, respectively.

“American Legion Post 209 is proud to present Southside Meat Market with this certificate of appreciation for supporting American Legion Post 209 and helping us run a very successful fundraiser,” said Brian Avery, commander of American Legion Post 209. “A very special thank you to Sammy, Steve and Dan, the owners of Southside Meat Market, and all the staff for supporting and promoting this raffle. Together, American Legion Post 209 and businesses like Southside Meat Market make the city of Bristol a great place to live and play.”
