Fugitive from Justice Caught in Southington
The suspect was arrested in connection with a shoplifting incident on Valentine's Day.

A man arrested in connection with a Valentine’s Day shoplifting incident at Walmart is being held on a fugitive from justice charge.
The suspect was caught at the Queen Street store at 4:37 p.m. Sunday after he allegedly stuffed $51 worth of cosmetics into his jacket and “passed all points of sale without attempting to pay for the merchandise that he had concealed,” according to a Southington Police report.
Once confronted by the security staff, the suspect ran across the parking lot where he was stopped as police arrived, according to the report.
Mikhail Dikler, 33, of Brooklyn, NY, was charged with sixth-degree larceny and held on a $10,000 bond.
“After Dikler’s identity was confirmed through a fingerprint check, the Cuyahoga CO. Sheriff’s office confirmed the original Indictment/ warrant for Dikler,” according to the police report. The warrant was issued for the felony charges of receiving stolen property, forgery and petty theft from an incident in March 2015.
Dikler was charged as a Fugitive from Justice, and held on a $25,000 surety bond. He was scheduled to appear Tuesday in state Superior Court in Bristol.
