Garden Center Proceeds To Combat 'Food Insecurity'

SOUTHINGTON, CT — Winterberry Gardens, a full-service landscaping company and retail garden center based in Southington, announced Monday a special sale to support Bread for Life, a local food assistance program.

Winterberry officials said the center will be opening from Nov. 18 to 20 for an event in which 50 percent of all proceeds from retail garden center sales will be donated to Bread for Life.

The garden center, located at 2070 West Street in Southington, will feature sales and specials to entice people to come and support this important cause.

"With food insecurity remaining a concern as we approach the holiday season, we felt it was important to host a community event where our guests and patrons could support an incredible organization like Bread for Life," said Bryan Stolz, the CEO of Winterberry. "We are committed to serving the community where we live and work, and this is one way in which we can help raise the necessary funds to support our neighbors during a difficult time."
