
Southington firefighters rescued a teenaged girl who fell through the ice of a pond Saturday afternoon.
The girl was with a group of people when she tried to cross the pond in the area of Meriden Avenue and South End Road, according to NBC Connecticut.
The unidentified teen, who was stuck in waist-deep ice, water and mud, was rescued by Southington firefighters, according to the NBC report that can be found here.
