Iwo Jima Memorial Tours, Children's Activities This Weekend

Foundation to host another fun day of free historical tours.

The Iwo Jima Memorial Historical Foundation will be hosting another fun day of free historical tours of the National Iwo Jima Memorial this Saturday.

Weather permitting, from 10 a.m. to noon, guests can learn about the unique features of the monument located at 1 Iwo Jima Way, including the monument’s creation and the Battle of Iwo Jima.

A Betsy Ross portrayer will also have activities for children of all ages, including how to make a Betsy Ross Star with one snip of the scissors.

All are welcomed to partake in the activities and remembrance of the historic site and battle.

The Iwo Jima Memorial Historical Foundation Inc. is the organization responsible for the care and maintenance of the monument & park.
