Company eying options for growing and expanding in town.

The Light Hangar Company, offers an affordable alternative to big box stores and personalized customer service to help customers find the right light to suit their needs.

Located at 1 Town Line Road, The Light Hangar Company is owned by Laura Davis who opened her business in 2018 and is now eying options for growing and expanding in town.

“Plainville has been a great match for us so we want to stay in town going forward,” she said. “The people here have been fantastic. Since the pandemic, we’ve really seen people starting to rally around supporting small businesses. We’re also looking forward to getting more involved in the community. We’re planning to have a booth at this year’s Pumpkin Festival.”

The Light Hangar Company’s slogan is “lighting made simple.” When customers step through the door, they will find the walls adorned with a “carefully chosen selection” of light fixtures.

The Light Hangar Company carries 12 product lines including Hunter and Casablanca ceiling fans. The Light Hangar Company offers both residential and commercial lighting, including indoor and outdoor lighting, under cabinet lights and smart lighting which is controlled through the Alexa app.

Davis also offers consultation services and said that she is glad to sit down with customers and help them to figure out what sort of lighting meets both their needs and their personal style.

“It gives our customers peace of mind knowing that they are getting the right light,” she said.

The Light Hangar Company has also partnered with Energize Connecticut.

“Energize Connecticut offers incentives of up to $140 to assist people with upgrading to more energy efficient, LED light fixtures,” she said.

The Light Hangar Company’s current hours are Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. After Labor Day, The Light Hangar will also be open Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
