SOUTHINGTON, CT — With the weather finally turning nice, local tennis and pickleball enthusiasts will just have to be patient.

That's because, starting Monday, June 16, through Sunday, June 22, tennis and pickleball courts at the town's Panthorn Park, 485 Burritt St, Plantsville, will be closed.

Both of those facilities are being closed so crews can repair the courts and get them ready for play.

Nearby basketball courts at the park are also slated for repairs in stages, meaning some portions are open for use, town officials said.

Local officials said the timeline for repairs is subject to change due to weather, and they will notify the community if these features will be closed for longer periods.
