Man, 92, Found Dead In Southington Pool: Police
The Southington Police Department is investigating whether a 'medical event' happened to the victim, who was identified on Thursday.
SOUTHINGTON, CT — Local police are investigating the death of a 92-year-old man found dead in his swimming pool over the weekend.
According to the Southington Police Department, the victim has been identified as Charles Williams.
Police said at 5:45 p.m., officers responded to 18 Roaring Brook Drive on a report of an elderly male unresponsive in the pool.

AMR, the Southington Fire Department, and the Southington Police Department were dispatched, police said.
Arriving officers found a male deceased in the pool, and the Southington Police Department Detective Division responded to further investigate.

As part of any death investigation, the Medical Examiner’s office was contacted and ultimately responded to the scene.
"The cause and manner of death are currently pending," wrote SPD spokesman Capt. James Armack. "At this time, it is unknown if Charles had sustained a medical event prior to entering the pool."
