In Memoriam: Doris Szczepanik
The Southington resident passed away Feb. 26 at the age of 91.

Doris (Bougor) Szczepanik, 91, of Southington, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Friday, February 26, 2016.
She was the beloved wife of the late Stanley J. Szczepanik.
Born in New Britain, she was the daughter of Theodore and Anna (Redmond) Bougor.
Before retiring, she worked as an inspector for Fafnir Bearing. Doris enjoyed singing and dancing and had a love for animals. She loved her family and friends and will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Any person that she met, she left an imprint in their heart.
She leaves behind two daughters, Carol Kaleta and her husband Bill, Janice Faulkner and her husband Steve; five grandchildren, Jason Kaleta, Eric Kaleta, Jenny Warner, Kelly Warner, and Katie Dragon, and five great-grandchildren, Kaylee, Emily, Kiernan, Allison and Patrick.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Corpus Christie Church, 601 Silas Deane Highway, Wethersfield, at 12:30 pm on Wednesday, March 2. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Park. Family and friends may call at the Rose Hill Funeral Home, 580 Elm St, Rocky Hill on Wednesday morning from 10 am to 12 pm.
