In Memoriam: Frank P. Rossi

Frank P. Rossi, 88, of Southington, passed away following a lengthy illness on Wednesday, December 2, 2015.

He is now reunited with his wife, Mary-Lou, who predeceased him in 1999.

Born in Hartford on May 25, 1927, Frank was one of three children to the late Joseph and Antoinette (Liuzzi) Rossi.

He proudly served his country in the US Navy and the U.S. Army, and married the love of his life, Mary-Lou in 1951. They shared 48 years together, raising a family of four, and in their later years, fulfilled their love of travelling. He was employed at Dunham-Bush, from where he retired in 1989.

Frank is survived by his children, Dina Rossi of Plainville, Frank Rossi, Jr. and Laura Anselmo, both of Bristol; his daughter-in-law, Traci Rossi of Bristol; his grandchildren, Frank, Mitchell, and Nicole Rossi, Robert Willard, Antoinette and Michael Anselmo, and Ryan Dulac,; and his great-grandchildren, Bria, Anthony, Nicholas, and Alexandra. He was and always will be the “cool uncle” to Sandi and Dolores, leaves many nieces and nephews, and his faithful companion, his dog “Rusty”.

He was predeceased by his son, Joseph, his brother, Patrick and his sister, Adeline Godfrey.

Honoring Frank’s wishes, his family will celebrate his life privately.
