In Memoriam: Gailen J. Farnham
The Southington resident passed away Feb. 27 at the age of 76.

Gailen J. Farnham, 76, of Southington passed away on Saturday, Feb. 27, 2016 at HOCC at New Britain General.
He was the beloved husband of Charlotte (Marino) Farnham.
He was born in Palmyra, ME, the son of the late Derwood and Bridie (O'Shea) Farnham.
He was a graduate of Southington High School. Gailen was a US Marine Veteran of the Korean War.
Prior to his retirement he was employed by Cytec Industries in Wallingford. Gailen was an avid Red Sox and NY Giants fan as well as the Men and Women's UCONN Basketball team. He enjoyed working in his yard and took great pride in it.
In addition to his wife, he leaves his twin sister Gail LaPointe of Southington; a brother Derwood Farnham of Missouri. He also leaves behind a loving family including many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by four sisters Gloria Demora, Eileen Gallo, Kathleen Gorneault and Winonna Hoyt.
Services will be private with military honors. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours.
DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St. is assisting with arrangement.
