In Memoriam: Shirley J. DiBiaso

Shirley (Johnson) DiBiaso, 90, of the Milldale section of Southington, passed away on Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at home surrounded by her family.

She was the wife of late Thomas “Tim” DiBiaso for over 64 years.

She was born in Southington on October 20, 1925, the daughter of the late Ellery and Bessie (Bemis) Johnson.

Prior to her retirement, she was a secretary for the Southington Board of Education.

Shirley is survived by her children, Sandra and husband Jack Albrycht of Cleburne, TX, Kathleen and husband Stephen Jardine of Southington, James DiBiaso and wife Donna of McKinney, TX; six grandchildren, Gretchen Albrycht, Erik Albrycht, Rachel Marquis, Brian Jardine, Jennifer Lewis and Timothy “TJ” DiBiaso, and great-grandchildren, Emily, Kaitlyn, Sofia, Krystal, Zackary, Jacoby, Addison, and Bradley.

She was predeceased by two brothers, Donald and Theodore Johnson, and a sister, Thelma Billington.

The funeral will be held on Monday at 12 p.m. at the Della Vecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery. Calling hours will be on Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
